Hello! I'd like to share a bit about my background to build trust and connection. Believe it or not, I was born in Poland — and my journey took me to Canada as a teenager with only basic English, just enough to get by.

Curious about my roots, I did a DNA test upon arriving in Poland — the results revealed a fascinating blend of backgrounds that truly mirrors my international experience.

With degrees in marketing, finance, and economics from the University of Guelph in Canada, I ventured into the world of education and never looked back. My career led me to international adventures in Indonesia and India, where I served as a school head, and across the United States.

Today, I continue to hold certifications as a business teacher and principal in Georgia and Oregon. Since moving to Poland in 2019, I've immersed myself in local culture — cycling the scenic trails of Trójmiasto, exploring the history of Gdańsk, and connecting deeply with the community.

Of course, a part of my heart will always belong to Canada and the USA. After all, you can take the girl out of North America, but you can't take North America out of the girl!

Dominick is a Polish-American hybrid with a side of humor and a dash of adventure. Despite hailing from the great state of New Jersey, he somehow managed to develop a world-class sense of direction — eventually landing him in Poland.

Fast forward to November 2019, and you'll find Dominick settling into the Polish scene like a pro. With a passion for teaching, programming, and the occasional mountain peak, he brings a unique blend of technical expertise and educational skill to The American Academy.

Dominick's adventurous spirit knows no bounds, whether he's scaling peaks or conquering virtual realities. His American-Polish background gives him a special ability to connect with students navigating the cultural bridge between both worlds.

Ronald Waugh graduated with an MBA from Harvard University, specializing in finance. Currently, he brings his extensive financial expertise and leadership experience to The American Academy as Program Advisor.

Ronald's background in finance and business education at the highest level makes him an invaluable resource — particularly for our corporate programs and executive communication coaching focused on the US financial and business landscape.
